It was a sweet offer I could not refuse, no strings attached. The Jamaican Tourist Board gave us a guide and a car, booked us in the best resorts: the Trident hotel in Port Antonio, the Half Moon Bay Club in Montego Bay.
But the best part of the trip were the simple joys of eating fresh mangoes, coconut milk and jerk chicken by the side of the road, of discovering the Rasta culture and Reggae music, Bob Marley and Jimmy Cliff.
Then the absolute relaxation of Negril, when it was still an unspoiled paradise.
